1 I will start to create a schedule, taking into consideration any exam commitments I already have planned. I will try to make this as realistic and reasonable as possible in this time so I can keep track every week and keep on top of the work load.
2 Today I will finish off the schedule, making sure I have added time as contingency time.
3 Find, set up and store fonts correctly in the right format and save them to my network space and also in the /FONTS/ folder in
4 Project Monitoring & contingency time – finish off work that I need to finish in the schedule this week.
Homework 1: Locate reference material for photo shoots; look into different poses and examples with the same lighting techniques. Look into which props I will need to buy.
Homework 2: Finish schedule.
Homework 3: Research headers/story styles/kickers etc.

This was the schedule plan for the first week of my production. I have successfully finished my schedule, and feel that it is realistic for the time frame I have to finish it. I have posted the finished schedule to my blog and have made sure I have scheduled plenty of time for contingency. All times for contingency are homework tasks, so that if something doesn't go wrong one week I still know what I should have achieved in the lesson, as opposed to having to look through and find something else to do that lesson. I worked backwards, starting at the deadline and worked my way up to the day I was working on. I felt by doing it this way I would be able to see what I need to finish and for when.
However, this week I was not in attendence for the third lesson, due to being off college all day ill. Therefore I did the work I had to do in lesson as homework another day. This means I have not managed to finish homework task 3 and I haven't researched different headers, story styles or kickers. I have however managed to do the work for lesson 3: finding and downloading all the fonts and saving them to a file where I will be able to find them. These pictures show the process of downloading the fonts on to the computer and extracting them into the right format.
I did look at reference material from other similar magazines to see what sort of studio images they used in the artiles they publish.
This proved to be a challenge as the majority of the images in magazines of my genre are externally set. Therefore finding a studio image that was set in a studio was harder than it seems. I did manage to find one on the 'TGO' website. This image probably will be using paramount lighting, therefore this will more than likely be the technique I use in my photoshoot.
